Colourful school playground equipment – which is fully galvanized before being
powder coated – has become something of a speciality for Merseyside Galvanizing
Ltd.
The work is carried out on behalf of its customer, AMV Engineering Ltd of Burscough, Lancashire, who are leading UK experts in the field.

Most recently, AMV Engineering were selected to provide vandal-resistant, multi-use
Goal Units and Mini Tennis Nets under the Football Foundation’s small grants scheme
for playground development and markings – total project value £100,000.
Fourteen primary schools throughout Nottinghamshire benefited from the scheme.
Previously, 12 schools used AMV equipment thanks to Football Foundation grants, including Ryton Park Primary School in Worksop.
The two Nottinghamshire phases have required approximately 24 tonnes of steel to be galvanized for the Goal Units, which are approximately 7m in length and 2m high.
