Employees from Metaltreat have put their pedalling power to the test and embarked upon a gruelling bike ride all in the name of charity.
The group of eight members of staff from the Bradford-based plant joined over 300 others on the cycle challenge, which saw them undertake a 25-mile bike ride through North Yorkshire to raise much-needed funds for Yorkshire Cancer Research.
Every member of the Metaltreat team finished the course in less than three hours, with Steve Morton leading the group by completing the ride in an impressive two hours and ten minutes.
Iain McBeath, Sales Manager at Metaltreat, commented: “This was a fantastic event to take part in and, while we all found it extremely challenging, we thoroughly enjoyed it. Not only did we give ourselves an extremely good workout and get to see some of North Yorkshire’s finest countryside, but our efforts meant that we raised over £1,000 for a very worthy cause.”
