Pillar Wedge has put on its dancing shoes, all in the name of charity. Danielle Creswell, Sales Coordinator at the plant has undertaken a charity zumbathon to raise much-needed funds for Sands (stillbirth and neonatal death charity) and the British Heart Foundation.
The Zumbathon, which takes place every year, saw 60 people undertake two hours of non-stop exercise, which included salsa, Hawaiian and street dance moves, and which took place at Heywood Sports Centre.
Danielle said: “I attend a weekly zumba class at Middleton arena, which is how I found out about the Zumbathon, and I decided to get involved as it was for two such great causes. Dancing non-stop for two hours was rather tiring, but also extremely fun. We were absolutely delighted to raise £300 for the charities.”
