The team from South East has rubbed shoulders with members of parliament at a jobs fair to encourage employment in the local area. The plant set-up a stall at the ‘Get Witham Working’ event, which provided local jobseekers with the opportunity to meet prospective employers, and enabled the plant to showcase positions and apprenticeships. The event was organised by Priti Patel, MP for Witham, and attended by her guest Iain Duncan Smith MP, Secretary of State for Work and Pensions.
Neil Pearson, Commercial Manager at South East Galvanizers, said: “The event was a great opportunity for us to showcase what a great place South East Galvanizers is to work, and also provided us with the opportunity to talk with local jobseekers about the sort of positions they were looking for. We are constantly looking for committed and dedicated individuals to fill roles, and the fair was the perfect way for us to meet local talent.”
