East Anglian Galvanizing has had three reasons to cheer after recognising the outstanding ongoing performance from a trio of its staff.
The Sawtry-based plant has held a special celebration to mark three workers’ achievement in reaching ten years service with the firm.
Phil Yates and David Dry, drivers with the galvanizing specialists, along with forklift truck driver Kevin Vernall, were presented with commemorative watches by the plant’s General Manager Paul Bayford to acknowledge their hard work.
“Phil, David, and Kevin have all become key members of our team, and this presentation is a small way for us to say a big thank you for all their exceptional work over the last decade,” Paul said.
"We place a huge emphasis on retaining and developing our staff – they are the business’s biggest asset after all – and as a company, we have been heavily involved in the Investors in People skills development programme for more than 20 years. It is hugely rewarding to see this continued investment in our staff reflected by the number of employees who reach their ten years service with us – earlier this year, another member of staff, Tracey Willis, actually notched up 21 years with the company.”
