An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our team as a Sales & Office Support coordinator at South East Galvanizers Ltd. We are part of Wedge Group Galvanizing, a successful family-owned business offering secure employment to its employees for over 150 years. We have 14 sites nationwide, providing corrosion protection to the steel sector, such as: agricultural, construction, Rail, Road and street furniture infrastructure.

What’s the role?

This is a permanent contract supporting the Commercial Manager, as well supporting daily office functions. Working 37.5 hours between 8am – 4.30pm, Monday to Friday. A starting salary from £21,000 pro rata excluding additional benefits i.e. bonus scheme, inflated pension, Hapi Benefits access.

Main duties include:

• Supporting sales activity:
Liaising and dealing with all aspects of quote enquiries, including pricing, tracking live quotes.
Maintaining a log of customer activity using internal sales tools & software.
• Tele-sales:
Keep in regular contact with customers.
Complete tele-sales activity.
• Champion Social media activity on site:
Liaise with Marketing department.
• Supporting Admin functions:
Answer & direct in-coming calls.
Aid daily processing of orders.
Track customer performance.

Who would suit this role?

A team-player, who is self-motivated, conscientious and has a ‘can-do’ attitude with excellent communication and Customer Service skills, someone who is looking for a new challenge in friendly environment or someone who is looking for a future in Sales.
Able to work on own initiative and structure their day to meet the needs of the role, supporting the Commercial Manager.
You must be proficient using Microsoft 365 and experience in the use of a CRM system is desirable.
Experience in a customer facing environment is essential as there will be a significant amount of time talking to customers on the phone.
