Our Futures Team

Our ‘Futures Team’ – a company committee set to drive forward, monitor, and manage our objectives with regards to sustainability, our journey to net zero, and our commitment to our communities.

For us, a sustainable company extends further than simply being environmentally-friendly. It means a business that boasts a triple bottom line: focused on our people, our planet, and our profits. And it’s something that we’re passionate about dedicating significant time and resources to.

Heading up the team is Technical Services Director, David Nobes, who says: “At Wedge Group Galvanizing, we’re passionate about our industry and proud of the fact that galvanizing as a process is incredibly innovative and advanced. And so it’s vital that as a company we’re as novel in our approach to sustainability and that we continue to make conscious, considered, and careful decisions.

We recognise that our customers are seeking processes that meet stringent governmental regulations, that our team wants us to make a very real difference to the world they live in, and that potential employees are looking for a business that’s committed to protecting our world for future generations.

“Which is the very reason we took the decision to introduce our ‘Futures Team’, which will work to continue to progress our company sustainability agenda, collaborate closely with our customers to better determine what they require from us, and evolve (and regularly communicate) our strategy as needed.”

Wedge Group Galvanizing’s ‘Futures Team’ consists of 10 voluntary representatives from a variety of roles across their 14 nationwide plants, including: Sales, Quality, Finance, and Marketing.
